Sorry XP – Time’s Up
That’s according to Microsoft which has stuck to their deadline for their most stable and most used operating system platform. The OS is set to go offline with some sales allowed for laptops that have been made between HP and the software giant from Redmond as they have already set quota’s for manufacturing of units that cannot support Vista’s demanding requirements the more so for Win 7.
Beta editions of the new windows have been out for quite sometime and with the company announcing a release date means that they are quite satisfied with the results of testing (the rest will be addressed by the much famed Service Packs as with any of their Operating Systems) . There will surely be bugs yet should they release it, for it to take over XP, it must be enticing enough to sway people who stayed away from Vista to shift.
Only time can tell if they would be in the position they were, a few years back when they ruled the software business. Today however, they are being met at each and every corner with opposition from competitors, some of whom offer free equals to their previous winners.
