US ISP Pricewert Cut Off
In US, an allegedly isolated ISP for malicious attacks and content has been shut down and tagged as a “black hat” or “attack” site by the US FTC that says it has ample evidence to do so. The company is allegedly hosting many malicious sites that have been determined to be one of the US’s havens for such criminal activity. The hosting firm has of course absolutely denied this and say they are willing to take the case to court.
The FTC is accusing the hosting company of hosting a number of illegal sites, mainly those that dealt with child pornography, bot-net command and control servers, spyware/viruses and other malware sites and much much more. They say they have ample proof to take them off-line as dictated by law. The FTC says they will stand by their findings and will be more than happy to deal with them in court.
The company says the ruling of the regulatory body is unjust and that they will be taking this seriously and pursuing legal action to the fullest of their abilities to depend their reputation.
