The newest development in the Apple world is that it will implement new subscription terms for publishers who want to offer newspapers, magazines, music and videos to its highly popular iPad.
The new subscription terms will now ask publishers to give Apple a 30 percent share of the cost of new subscriptions to the above mentioned content. It is expected that publishers will have no choice but comply with Apple’s new terms given that the iPad is the leading tablet in the market today. And whatever the top guy asks, the top guy almost always gets. As long the iPad is at the pole position, it can do whatever it wants and companies will follow if it wants to be let inside the top selling gadget.

Online transactions is a like an outbreak. That’s why some consumers are afraid to just give their credit card numbers online. A number of websites has information for users on how to prevent impostors from stealing personal data or money. If this is the crime of the future, we must take action now to prevent such scams or events. More often than not, the strongest evidence that you’re being attacked by these stealers is when you received an e-mail from a bank that you don’t have any banking relationship. The best way to prevent this swindle is to protect your password and possibly change it every two months.

Passwords serve as the gateways to people’s most kept secrets and ultimately, the invasion of their privacy.
Most websites give the option of remembering your passwords for you. When a dialogue box pops out, asking if you want the site to store your password, be safe and always click on the No or Never for this site button. You can do better without the help of that feature.
Never share your passwords with anyone even with people whom you really trust. Times change and there will be circumstances that will prompt them to log on to your accounts and use any information that they can get a hold of against you. They can very well use it for blackmail and make you do crazy things for them.

Be very careful when filling out various forms on the Internet that require pertinent, personal and confidential information. Exposing one’s self on the Internet poses risks of being susceptible to junk emails, cyber bullies, identity theft and the like.

Access to free WiFi abound these days. You can find one in the nearest coffee shop, fast food outlet, schools and airports. Free WiFi allows people to check on their emails, pay their bills online or simply log on to their accounts on various social networking websites. Little did they know that with this privilege comes their vulnerability to online intruders.
Free WiFi does not have the capability to ensure that users can log on to websites securely. This gives snoops and hijackers the freedom to view the users’ data such as their usernames, passwords, contact information and other confidential data.
So instead of taking advantage of free WiFi access, be wise and choose paid WiFi. Shelling out money to do your business online is better than risking your own privacy. Doing so would also keep you from being a possible victim of identity fraud and other cyber crimes.
